The Geely E2, Geely’s all-electric hatchback, was the best-selling compact car in the world in 2025. Over the same period it was also the best-selling model in China across all segments. Between January and December 2025, the Geely E2 recorded 465,775 sales worldwide, and it set a new benchmark for the industry by passing 500,000 units in only 14 months since its launch.
For Geely, the E2 is a strategically important model in its new energy vehicle (NEV) line-up. In the markets where it is already on sale, it has been recognised as one of the best electric choices available, combining generous space, performance, intelligent technology and safety with a number of features that no competitor in its class can match.
Distinctive design and class-leading space
In terms of design, the Geely E2 stands out with its “smiling” front end, which is instantly recognisable and reflects a youthful, refined character. Its clean lines give it a premium feel, something already confirmed by numerous international design awards. Well-judged proportions allow the E2 to carry five people in comfort, with a cabin that approaches the size of the class above: rear knee room of 890 mm is simply class-leading.
Storage is just as impressive. The Geely E2 is the only model in its class with a 70-litre front trunk, complemented by a 28-litre compartment under the rear seats and a boot that expands from 375 to 1,320 litres. A further 36 practical storage spaces throughout the cabin cover every need, from daily commutes to family trips.
Engineering exclusives in its class
Built on Geely’s GEA architecture, the rear-wheel-drive Geely E2 offers two engineering exclusives in its segment. First, it is the only model with multi-link rear suspension, delivering a balanced blend of stability and driving enjoyment. Second, it uses an integrated “11-in-1” electric drive system in a single unit, striking an ideal balance between power and energy efficiency. A minimum turning radius of just 4.95 metres adds even more agility in the city.
Intelligent technology and safety
For smart technology, the Geely E2 features the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit, offering a smooth and intuitive user experience. At its heart is another class exclusive: the segment’s largest high-definition central display, measuring 14.6 inches. As standard, the E2 comes with 12 advanced driver assistance (ADAS) functions, delivering both top-level safety and driving comfort.
Another feature unique in its class is the liquid-cooled battery system which, combined with Geely’s Battery Safety System, provides comprehensive active and passive protection. This is supported by a cage-type body structure and a full set of airbags.
